St. Catherine’s Division of Orthopedics is experienced in all fields of surgical and nonsurgical care. We specialize in cutting edge treatments, including innovative and minimally invasive surgeries as well as nonsurgical treatments.

  • Hand Surgery: Our specialized orthopedic surgeons perform a full range of procedures pertaining to the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. These cutting edge treatments, both surgical and nonsurgical, are effective options for a multitude of ailments including fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s disease, arthritis, nerve, tendon and ligament injuries, and more. Treatment options include endoscopic carpal tunnel release, wrist and hand arthroscopy, and joint replacement/reconstruction as well as microsurgical procedures. Our medical staff also treats a vast range of traumatic conditions, including all types of fractures and soft tissue injuries, and use microsurgical limb replantation techniques to treat a variety of other hand injuries. Our dedicated team of hand specialists is always on call at our medical center.
  • Orthopedic Trauma Surgery: Our experienced orthopedic surgeons care for and manage acute traumatic injuries, as well as non-urgent injuries including fractures, dislocations, and ligament and tendon tears. These board certified orthopedic surgeons have all undergone extensive training treating all forms of orthopedic trauma, and work side by side with our medical team of hospitalists and specialists to provide the highest level of care.
  • Podiatry: Our highly skilled podiatrists concentrate on the latest treatment options for both common and unique foot and wound care problems as well as a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Spine Surgery: Fellowship trained spine surgeons perform advanced procedures for complicated spinal pathology including arthritis, stenosis, degenerative disc disease and more. Our spine team consists of experienced surgeons and staff to provide the most cutting edge treatment options for patients
  • Sports Medicine: Fellowship trained sports medicine specialists, both operative and non-operative, employ state-of-the-art, minimally invasive treatments. These include various arthroscopic procedures as well as injections, including biologics. Our doctors treat hip, knee and shoulder pain. They are skilled in performing various procedures to treat meniscus tears, ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears, bursitis, and much more.
  • Total Joint Replacement Surgery: St. Catherine’s Division of Orthopedic Surgery is a prominent referral center throughout Suffolk County for the treatment of complicated joint replacement procedures and revision surgery. Skilled surgeons in our Division of Orthopedics were among the first to perform robotic assisted joint replacement surgery in the United States, as well as perform ambulatory total hip replacement. A separate Joint Implant Unit is also available at the medical center, which is dedicated to postoperative and rehabilitation care. We recently added additional fellowship trained hip and knee reconstruction specialists to our orthopedic team.
